One year on

On Saturday April 2021 Peter and Mandy welcomed our first tour and tasting that had been booked through the website. We were quite nervous about hosting our first group, especially as we were still not allowed to take guests inside due to Covid restrictions and there was clearly no guarantying the weather!

However our fears evaporated when Tom and his guests arrived, after months of ‘not going out’ they were ready to be entertained and enjoy themselves with us.

They had seen us on Good Morning Britain and were intrigued to know how we were growing grapes this far north.

We really enjoyed the whole process of sharing our story and then our wine with these fabulous people, in fact they gave us so much confidence we have shown at least another 600 people since then.

You have to wonder whether without Covid, where we’d be now. Clearly an awful time for small businesses looking to grow, but it’s tested our resilience and we believe we have a great offer here in our boutique North Yorkshire vineyard. We look forward to welcoming more of you on our tours and tastings. Hopefully reaching 1000 visitors soon!
