Team (re)building

While you have been getting used to working back in the office, or perhaps just continuing from home via the joys that are Teams or Zoom, we’ve been busy creating a fantastic space for corporate meetings and events. We think it’s the perfect place to bring colleagues together and reconnect after workplace isolation.

You know we really love our history at Dunesforde, so we have focussed on creating a space to get together that the Roman’s would have been pleased to frequent (but with running water, air-conditioning and wifi!).

On the ground floor, we have our Roman Cellar Bar with the amazingly realistic artwork by Leyburn based artist Lynn Ward as your backdrop. This room is great for socialising in small groups or one big group. With windows overlooking the vineyard and doors out to the terrace you can wander among the vines; it really is a break away from the screen.

Upstairs we have two superb rooms - the larger of the two has the most spectacular wall painting, again by Lynn, depicting the village and the vineyard from the Roman times. It’s an impressive 18 square metres, and brings to life an important part of Yorkshire during the Roman occupation. You can look at it for an age and still spot something new. You might even spot Mandy and Ian enjoying a bit of gladiatorial theatre with Piper and Sam!

Alongside the Roman room, is the Queen of the North room; a smaller space with the same impressive views. We challenge you not to get distracted during a board meeting! You could always finish the meeting with a wine tasting…

If you’re looking for a venue with a difference but still only a short distance from the motorway, do give us a bell to chat through your requirements.
